Treasure Island
Ahoy land lovers!
Last
July I completed illustrating my first Ladybird book. 'Treasure
island'. I was very excited to be working with ladybird and this title,
and enjoyed the job tremendously. A year later and its hitting the
shelves. Below are a few examples from the book as well as some working
images detailing my process.
First Pencil Designs
What better
excuse to visit the docks at Portsmouth, the Victory was a much larger
ship then the schooner described in the book, ...we went anyway.
I built a small head sculpt of Jim Hawkins with some soft clay to get a better idea of angles and light.

Cookie machine
The first image I created for the pitch on a cookie crisp commercial, and the second I built in
Maya.
